I began volunteering for the Heather Hopper shortly after I retired two years ago. I really enjoy meeting the groups and hearing all of their stories – they certainly have a lot of fun so it’s great to be involved. It doesn’t take up too much time as the trips are advertised in advance and you can choose how many, or how few you opt in for. Also, the choices of venues and food are excellent! It’s a very worthy and fun role and I would definitely recommend it.
